Maturity

Maturity

"Do you suppose that I came to grant peace on earth? I tell you, no, but rather division…(Luke 12:51a NASB)"

Definition: Fully developed in body or mind, as a person (Dictionary.com) // Division:  disunion (of opinion and conduct) (Strongs Dictionary Greek 1267 diamerismos).

This time in a child's development may be tougher on parents since we are losing while our child gains: we give up the role of integral molding and our child gains total license to make good or bad choices ‐ to believe in truth or lies. Here the tight grip of parental opinion and conduct peels away as independence and freedom are discovered. Training, truth, wisdom and memories may be all our children take as their unique paths find the future not among, but beyond the past.

Prayers: We pray life is what matures inside our child; abundant life.

Please Help us to always teach how to think and less what to think; to foster a true inner conviction and trusting relationship with You instead of allegiance to our opinions and beliefs.

As body and age mature we pray Your Spirit will envelope the spirit of our child for lasting peace, love and joy to remain as a constant strength and overflow.
Thank You Lord for Your help and blessings.
